My First Bite ©

My First Bite© was an educational enrichment program developed to help address common developmental challenges such as picky eating, food neophobia, and a disconnect from the origins of food. The program offered a creative, evidence-based approach to food education for families, educators, and early childhood spaces.

Developed for children aged 1 to 6, My First Bite© featured a range of engaging formats—after-school lessons, field trips, holiday camps, public talks, and parent engagement workshops. Rooted in an internationally recognised sensory-based food education method and thoughtfully adapted for Singapore, the program encouraged children to explore food through sensory play, fostering curiosity and a positive relationship with food in a joyful, non-judgmental environment.

We created a holistic curriculum across age groups that helped children build essential life skills such as self-expression, empathy, and open-mindedness. Activities included hands-on sensory experiences, simple science experiments, cooking, storytelling, and immersive food journeys to places like food gardens and wet markets—empowering children to try new foods and describe their experiences with confidence. The program also included expert guest speakers, interactive parent-child workshops, and take-home materials to support learning at home.
